Can I pick your brain?

I'm planning a relaunch of my Studio Exclusives over the next few months and I'd love to know your thoughts. I've created a short survey (5 mins max, I promise) that I'd be super grateful if you answered - I've popped the link below and, as a small thank you, there's a 10% code for my online shop at the end!

"Well that’s lovely, but what ARE Studio Exclusives?"
Studio Exclusives are my playground for experimentation and fun. They’re a chance for me to test out new ideas - some of which might finally filter through into my main collection, while others will remain as micro-batches or one-offs. They’re the seed of an idea, and a very special thing indeed.

They’re one of my favourite parts of my practise, but I usually end up sliding them onto my website without much fanfare (or selling them at markets without even documenting them). And I think they deserve better than that.

"What can I expect from Studio Exclusives?"
I’ve got a list as long as my arm of items I’d like to make but never quite find the time for in my schedule. I’m dreaming of cobalt blue porcelain with copper lustre, hand-built stoneware pots, tiny bud vase bottles, special limited edition Moment Cups, and maybe even a drawing or two. Who knows, I might even finally nail that decorative coffee pot design. But mostly, I’ll be going through the huge stack of sketchbooks full of patterns I have and hand-selecting some to turn into Micro Collections.

"How can I buy these amazingly special items?! (And why can’t I buy them NOW?)"

This might change depending on your survey feedback, but here’s how I envisage the relaunched Studio Exclusives will work:

  • Every 2 or 3 months I’ll launch a numbered batch of Studio Exclusives which will be available to buy on my website only. They’ll be available for a limited time only, and in limited quantities, then they’ll be archived.

  • This archive of previous exclusives will be available to browse year round (so you can get a feel for what might come in the next batch, or reminisce over that beautiful thing you missed out on last time) but once they're gone, they're gone.

  • Any Studio Exclusives that don’t sell out will be available once to twice a year in a special online Archive/Studio Sale, and they might pop their heads up at markets and events (once that’s a thing we can do again!).

These launches are designed to work with the ebb and flow of the studio, and will (hopefully!) give me a deadline to work towards so that I can make sure I prioritise this playful part of my practise and keep pushing myself to explore new ideas. As newsletter subscribers, you'll be the first to know when I'm launching a new batch of Studio Exclusives and will get plenty of notice of when they're going on sale to make sure that you get it in your diary and don't miss out.

"How will these relaunched Studio Exclusives be different from the ones on your website just now?"
At the moment, my Studio Exclusives just got popped on my website sporadically when I get a chance to to photograph them, but I really want to high to highlight some of the things that make these lovely items special.

The new Studio Exclusives will be signed, dated, and editioned on the bottom and will come with a small information card which tells you more about the Studio Exclusive project as well as having handwritten details about your item like the name of the piece, the materials used, and the batch number. You’ll also receive a small keepsake drawing with every Studio Exclusive.

How does that sound? I'd love to know your thoughts on this! I've popped a link to survey below which is your chance to let me know if you'd like to see this work differently. Maybe you'd rather see one item launched on a monthly basis? Or maybe you love the excitement of an Instagram stories sale?

Maybe what I've described above sounds perfect as it is and you can't be bothered filling in a survey - there's an option for that too! And it's right at the top of the page so you can just pop right in and back out again.
