This wave design has been making it’s way into my work more and more over the last few months - it’s the shape my hand most naturally seems to want to draw when I put brush to paper. Maybe it’s all that time I’ve been spending looking out over the Tay from my favourite window perch?

There’s a slow rhythm to these necklaces, just like the tides that come and go, and the soft waves contrast beautifully with the strong, structural form of the necklace. Each one has been decorated with hand applied copper lustre, which is raised from the base of Parian porcelain to give it a luxurious feel. The copper waves will catch the light as it changes throughout the day and across the year and has a beautifully warm glow.

Made from Parian porcelain that has been stained using a striking cobalt blue. Each one is hand-cut from sheets of clay and individually illustrated before being sanded to a marble smooth finish, reminiscent of pebbles that has been smoothed by the motion of the sea.
